It is absolutely beautiful.
Marvel Heroes is dead? Nah, Marvel Heroes is just getting started. It’s been seven years since Gazillion Entertainment shut down Marvel Heroes and closed its doors, but thanks to the skilled programmers and the unbreakable spirit of the internet that project is coming back to life. Slowly, but surely.
This month the Marvel Heroes server emulator hit version 0.40. The latest branch includes a fully playable story mode, most scripted game modes, mission-based endgame activities, items with random affixes, more loot types, as well as buying items from and leveling up vendors.
You can join community servers or set up a local server of your own to level up in. The files for the server are at this Github. Setting up your own local server is pretty simple, but you should go over to the official Discord and join the community.
You’ll also need to procure your own copy of Marvel Heroes. If you had it activated on Steam before it shut down, you’ll be able to redownload it there and use that.
