Following two failed launches and extensive financial losses for Warner Bros., online brawler MultiVersus announced this morning that it will be shutting down after the end of Season 5.
Servers will remain online until May 30, after which the game will be playable only in offline mode. You’ll need to activate the copy on your device of choice before May 30, however, as the game will presumably be delisted from digital store shelves and will be unavailable for new players.
Season 5 will serve as the final seasonal content update for MultiVersus. As January 31, 2025, real money transactions are no longer available. Season 5 will begin on February 4, 2025, and run through May 30, 2025.
MultiVersus will presumably let players access all locked cosmetics once the server goes down, however the update does not address that topic. Players looking for refunds should reach out to customer support on their respective platforms to see what can be done for them.
