Scribing in Elder Scrolls Online allows players to collect and customize special skills. What kind of skills? The special kind, I just said that. Unfortunately in order to start scribing you’re going to need to own the Gold Road Chapter which means spending money which means not everyone has access to it.
For now at least.
In a post on the Steam board, ZeniMax announced that Scribing will be free for all players come mid-July. It will be a claim in the crown store. There will be a short window between June and July where players who don’t own scribing will not be able to acquire it however, but after that it will become obtainable for all.
