For a game that was allegedly put into maintenance mode years ago, Final Fantasy XI sure does get a lot of updates still. The folks at Square Enix announced this week that Final Fantasy XI is about to hit its 23rd anniversary, and that means content.
Specifically highlighted is the new character race change service. For a number of dollarydoos, you’ll be a able to change your character’s race and appearance once, but you’ll have to do so within 14 days of buying the service. An odd limitation but this is Final Fantasy XI after all.
Meanwhile everyone else can check out the Vana’Bout Records of Eminence objective. There’s a login campaign running through the start of June, and some various other updates coming.
