Because at this point who cares.
EpiXR Games is a company some of you may be familiar with here at MMO Fallout. They have developed several games including Aery franchise and Tanky Tanks. They’ve also been the subject of two banwaves from Steam with the likely cause being suspicious reviews. And by suspicious I mean clearly fraudulent.
It’s only been a week since Valve cleared EpiXR’s remaining titles from the storefront and since getting past Valve’s stringent security is so difficult that devs like Ata Berdyev have done it repeatedly, EpiXR has done the equivalent of putting on a mustache and a bad British accent and they are already back.
Now instead of calling themselves EpiXR Games they are known as EpiXR Games UG. A completely separate and legitimate company, I’m sure. So far they have released Aery – Sky Castle and have several more titles on the horizon including Little Bird Adventure, Broken Memories, and My Little Dog Adventure. Aery – Sky Castle was banned prerelease along with EpiXR’s other titles back in August. Aery VR and Death Gasp VR were banned a week ago.
So I guess the lesson here is that you should be wary of reviews on their titles, because the company has been suspected in the past for fraudulent positive reviews and has already been banned twice by Valve. It’s unknown whether this was a conscious decision on Valve’s part to allow the company back, whether they’ve been bamboozled into thinking this is a new company, or if something else is behind this resurgence.
