Paycheck: City RPG Shut Down In Under Two Months

Role playing game loses bank and fails to gain interest.

Paycheck: City RPG launched into Early Access in February and early reactions by players pretty much amounted to wanted to know why the developer was wasting their time. Early complaints revolved around a small map, lack of activities, lack of anti-griefing mechanics, griefers, and virtually nobody playing.

Well after less than two months, Paycheck: City RPG is dead. The title was retired from the Steam store today with a notice that the game was a major loss and there are no resources to continue development.

Hi All,

Unfortunately, as you all may have guessed this project didn’t pan out as I had hoped. I’ve lost a considerable sum of money and simply no longer have the resources to fix what remains.

To those of you who were willing to try it and give it an honest chance, thank you! For those of you who tried to get the word out or support anyway you could I truly do appreciate it.

The game will be shutting down and I wish you all the best.

Let this be a reminder: Early Access is not an excuse to feed people garbage and hope they pay you money for the opportunity.
