Archaeology Comes To RuneScape

It’s finally here.

Archaeology is here. RuneScape’s twenty eighth skill has officially launched, encouraging adventurers to grab their mattocks and start excavating.

Use your mattocks to excavate artefacts, soil, and materials. Sift through the soil for more artefacts and either hand them over to the Varrock museum or sell them to collectors for the big cash. Find powerful relics as you level up and use those for game-changing benefits.

Upon logging in today players can expect to lose their max cape, completionist cape, trimmed comp cape, and gatherer’s cape. Those who hit level 99 during the six month grace period will get their capes back, however those who don’t will need to hit 120 to get their capes.

Also opening up are the archaeology tasks on the ongoing Yak Track battle pass.
