NCSoft made lods of emone.
NCSoft has published their first quarter earnings and the results are…oh boy. Thanks to strong mobile game momentum and stable PC games, NCSoft experienced historic sales figures in a time when many other businesses are suffering.
Quarterly sales were up 104% year over year compared to 2019 while operating profits were up 204%, and net income up 162%. Q1 2020 marked the highest sales period in the history of NCSoft. On the mobile sphere, Lineage 2 M has eclipsed Lineage M raking in 341 billion Korean Won compared to Lineage still bringing in a steady 212 billion.
This puts NCSoft’s two mobile titles legions ahead of their entire PC library as the mobile division brought in 553 billion won in total during the quarter with the PC catalogue bringing in 113 billion between Lineage, Lineage 2, Aion, Blade & Soul, and Guild Wars 2. Lineage 2’s sales more than doubled over last year’s first quarter, while Lineage 2, Aion, Blade & Soul, and Guild Wars 2 saw a marked decrease in sales.
South Korea now makes up the massive lion’s share of NCSoft’s income at 634 billion won this quarter with North America, Europe, Japan, Taiwan, and international royalties accounting for 96 billion won as a whole.
