Champions of Titan Is Shutting Down A Second Time

Dead as a corpse.

When someone writes a book about MMOs from the past that never had much of a chance but also squandered their hopes of a meager success story Champions of Titan is sure to make that list of barely memorable titles. Champions of Titan was previously known as Wild Buster, the title that publisher Insel Games got banned off of Steam for attempting to manipulate review scores.

Well the game is dead as a corpse again. Officially. IDC Games announced a week ago today to the ears of nobody that Champions of Titan would be shutting down for good. Why the shutdown? Probably for the same reason you were unaware that Wild Buster was still operating under a new name.

Astoundingly IDC Games does not in fact stand for “I Don’t Care Games,” in spite of the company’s history of deep incompetence in publishing. Take a look at their community pages and you’ll find an entire library of dead and unsupported games, shoddy customer support, terrible quality servers, and very low retention of customers.

I can’t find a single game in IDC’s library that it looks like the company ever supported it with anything in the same galaxy as what one would consider competent customer service. Unbeknownst to IDC Games I have also been keeping a close eye on Champions of Titans since its relaunch and the quality of support given to the game’s servers should be embarrassing to everyone involved.
