The Voracious Resurgence.
Final Fantasy XI gets a lot of updates for a game that was supposedly put in maintenance mode years ago. Square Enix today revealed that part one of a new story series titled The Voracious Resurgence will launch alongside the August update. A free play event will accompany the new story starting August 7 allowing players with a lapsed subscription to return to FFXI through August 17. No charge!
In addition the Green Festival returns from August 7 through August 18 with the latter half of the month bringing back the Sunbreeze Festival from August 14 through the 31. Even further the Beastmaster class is set to receive new traits, new summoned pets, and new special abilities.
