Vlambeer has celebrated its ten year anniversary…by announcing that the company will be closing its doors. The Dutch development studio was founded in 2010 by Rami Ismail and Jan Willem Nijman, and has put out a number of popular titles over the years including Nuclear Throne and Serious Sam: The Random Encounter.
Those of you looking to complete your Vlambeer collection can find their titles on sale on Steam right now. Those with longstanding Humble Monthly subscriptions might find loose copies of Nuclear Throne (April 2016), Minit (April 2019), and Disc Room (Aug 2016) in your unredeemed key list.
Today marks Vlambeer’s 10th anniversary, which is way longer than we could’ve ever imagined. We had a beautiful run, made incredible games, and worked with amazing people, but it is time for new things. So we’re announcing the end of Vlambeer. pic.twitter.com/jZ4dMGxNV2
