New features and a revamped map.
Rogue Planet Games has announced the launch of The Shattered Warpgate for Planetside 2, a massive update that launches on PC today and PlayStation later this month. The Shattered Warpgate will introduce storytelling experiences called Campaigns which introduces major gameplay and environmental changes alongside lore-driven story missions unfolding across multiple chapters.
“Unlike in a traditional single-player adventure, the term ‘Campaign’ in our game alludes to the compelling military nature of PlanetSide 2,” said Michael Henderson, Lead Designer. “Our players are soldiers embattled in an endless planetary war, and each of our Campaigns will develop the story of how the war and the world around them is evolving.”
Players will return to the snowy tundra of Esamir which has been revamped. New weapons and equipment are available to obtain as well as upgrades to the sanctuary social hub and war asset rebalancing.
