Everything is being delayed until later.
The folks at Crystal Dynamics have been hard at work fixing the launch of Marvel’s Avengers which launched last month with a big slate of problems, chief among them being the game was incredibly buggy and poorly optimized. In the weeks since launch the dev team has poured out update after update tweaking systems, fixing bugs, patching things over, and generally getting the game up to the point it should have been at launch.
The side effect of this work means that the content updates that were in the pipeline are now a little further down the pipeline. This week’s development blog confirmed that the launch of Kate Bishop Hawkeye is not going to make October. In addition to Kate the planned upgrades for PS5/Series X launch will be delayed until next year to bring the current gen systems up to spec. The games will play on next gen consoles with faster load times and better framerates.
To thank players for sticking with it, Avengers players can log in and grab a package including 1500 credits ($15 roughly), 250 upgrade modules, 7000 units, and 20 DNA keys.
