In a newsletter released this week the folks at Star Vault detailed improvements coming to the artificial intelligence of the local fauna. Players will be able to hunt the Springbok starting November 18. Springbok can be found alone and in herds and require meticulous tracking in order to hunt down. Also be wary of the alpha.
Your ability to sneak will be impacted by your character skills, gear and movement speed. As a young hunter, a bow might net you the greatest results however, a true master will require nothing but a melee weapon. Upon killing an entire herd, it will take time for the species to return to nearby areas. Be wary of overhunting, as this can lead to the complete eradication of a species within that specific region.
Artificial intelligence will be implemented over a number of steps with Springbok being the first to ensure all of the t’s are crossed and i’s are dotted, and everything is working as intended within the game world. Following that the team will work on enemy AI.
Additionally anyone who has purchased alpha access will receive an additional trial key to give to their friends, loved ones, or routine acquaintances on the cross-town bus. Your choice.
