World of Warcraft is a dead game with nobody playing it, at least that’s what Reddit tells me every day. If you start off that premise it perfectly explains why the latest expansion Shadowlands is the fastest selling PC game ever of all time in history. According to Activision Blizzard.
ActiBliz announced this week that the expansion pack had sold 3.7 million units within its first full day of availability. The release trumps the previous record which went unsurprisingly to Diablo III which sold more than 3.5 million units in its first day.
We already knew that Shadowlands had beaten World of Warcraft expansion figures back in November. The announcement this week shows just how powerful the MMO still manages to be today.
