It does more to bolster Uplay+ value than anything.
Uplay+ or Ubisoft+ as it is going by these days has theoretically launched on Stadia. I say theoretically because Google sent out a tweet earlier today claiming that the service had launched.

When pressed further on the matter someone working Stadia’s Twitter account noted that the feature is “rolling out” and will be available to current users sometime presumably between now and the apocalypse. There wasn’t a timeline given out. Nor did Google do much to explain any of this to users. So far I have yet to see anyone on Twitter posting that they had access to Ubisoft+ on Stadia.
What we do know is that you won’t need Stadia Pro to play your Ubisoft+ games, although they will still be locked to 1080p streaming resolution. The library of games is also much smaller than what is available as Stadia is a platform onto itself and not all of the Ubisoft+ games are available on it.
This is a deal that works for both companies as Google desperately needs to bring more people into the Stadia economy and Ubisoft’s subscription service gets more valuable by having a no-frills way of playing their games for people with good internet.
MMO Fallout will update with our coverage whenever the Stadia Ubisoft+ connection proves its existence.
