As apology for ongoing issues.
Fortnite Crew is Epic’s subscription program for Fortnite that offers roughly $8 worth of V-Bucks as well as exclusive outfits and a battle pass for the relatively low price of $11 monthly. The subscription hasn’t quite gone off without a hitch since it hit digital shelves just over a month ago. Issues with receiving rewards and unsubscribing via Xbox have been more than pervasive.
The Fortnite Team dropped a news blog discussing the current status of Fortnite Crew and what players can expect in the coming months.
Ahead of dropping details on what’s coming to Fortnite Crew in February, we’d like to give an update on where we’re at after the first month. It’s been great seeing players jump in with new Outfits like Galaxia and Green Arrow, and we’re working to make your subscription an even better experience month in and month out.
As a thank you to players sticking with Fortnite Crew, Epic is giving an exclusive emote called Members Only. They do note that it may take 48 hours to appear in your inventory. The post goes on to detail some confusion people have had on the service. For example while new outfits are handed out on the first of the month, the V-Buck stipend is tied to your billing date. For most players this means those items will be handed out separately.
They also noted that February’s outfit will be a new character from Fortnite as opposed to a movie tie-in, as some were unhappy with January’s skin being Green Arrow.
