Not the second day of the twenty eighth month.
February is almost over and you know what that means; Christmas is basically right around the corner. This week’s release list on Steam is a little sparse so I’m going to use this time to point out that Postal Redux is launching on PlayStation 4 this week. You should also check out Rhythm Doctor that came out this past week as it is a wonderful one-button music game.
Ranch Simulator – The Realistic Multiplayer Agriculture Management Sandbox; Farm, Harvest, Hunt & Build

I went back and forth on adding in the entire name of the game to this list, and then decided it would be funnier for me if I used the whole title and then ruined the comedy by explaining that it was intentional in the first sentence of this paragraph. Mission accomplished with extreme prejudice.
Ranch Sim shockingly is not a title by Playway S.A.’s many shell companies. Ranch Sim is exactly what it sounds like. Inherit a dilapidated ranch from your dead relative and rebuild it into a profitable business venture. You’ll need to build buildings, tend to the animals, and do all sorts of fun chores. I mean gameplay activities. Personally I’d prefer a blue cheese sim.
Ranch Simulator pops up on March 4.
Loop Hero

You likely partially guessed the plot of Loop Hero by its title. Loop Hero takes place in a world stuck in a time loop. Now I might be getting this completely wrong because the description is hard to follow, but it looks like you set your heroes on a loop track that you create using a deck of cards, and the strategy is to build your characters up to beat the lich while not making it so difficult that your heroes die.
There is a demo, and the full game comes out March 4. Publisher is Devolver Digital.
Foregone

Foregone is a 2D platformer with stunningly fluid pixel graphics and lots of loot for the avid adventurer. But you already knew that, since this is a list of games everyone wants. Already a big award winner, Foregone seems to be a foregone conclusion. This one released last year but has been stuck as an Epic Games Store exclusive.
Check it out on March 1.

Scrapnaut

Sure, why not. Scrapnaut hits store shelves on March 1. A top down survival game with steampunk elements. Know how I know it has steampunk elements? The vacuum tube lights in the user interface. The good news is you don’t have to plop down any money to find out if Scrapnaut is good or should be sent to the scrap heap. There is a demo available on Steam for anyone to try. Provided you own or at least lease a computer of course.
The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante

I have no idea what this game is about from looking at the screenshots, and after reading the description I’m still not quite sure. The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante is a text-based RPG and I will just let the store description explain things.
Life in the Great Arknian Empire is harsh and its hardest Lot is yours by the circumstance of birth. You are a commoner, holding no rights and no title. To seize your fate and become the rightful heir to the legacy of the Brante family you will have to come to grips with ossified tradition and prejudice. Embarking on a life-long journey from one’s birth until true death, you will have to endure great upheavals, face adversity, and make many difficult choices. Every decision will affect not only the protagonist, his family, and loved ones, but may even topple the foundation of the Empire itself.
Let me know if you figure it out. The game comes out March 4.
