Exiled accounts are now getting access.
It’s been a few weeks since RuneScape completely broke for a number of accounts, but the first wave of returning players should finally be able to log in starting today. Jagex announced this morning that the first wave of accounts should be able to log in shortly.
Players affected may notice some quirks such as a disorganized bank, missing farm animals, or changed UI settings. Affected players will receive a box containing a bunch of consumables and cosmetics. Jagex also plans to run several events through April offering bonuses through various activities. The ongoing Yak Track has been extended by three weeks and Vic the Trader is returning in April to recycle unwanted bonus experience.
The first wave of returning players will be rejoining the game shortly, as accounts begin to become unlocked. Those in the first wave will have received an email inviting them to log in. This wave is a smaller one in order for us to build confidence in the restoration method. More players will have their accounts restored in coming waves, so please check back for more news.
