RuneScape Launches Skilling Week

Now that accounts are back in the game, Jagex is making up for the month-long lockout and content delays with a series of bonus weeks. The first week begins today, April 12, and offers bonuses for a number of RuneScape skills.

Between April 12 and 19 players will receive 50% bonus experience in all gathering skills. In the case of archaeology this amounts to screening and excavation only, but you do get a 50% precision bonus. Ironman accounts do not receive any of these bonuses.

Next week is combat week. Players will enjoy double reaper/slayer points, bonus combat experience, reduced death costs, and more. Week three involves the game’s daily tasks and at the end of April everyone will receive a wish. My wish? A big sandwich hat.
