And here is what I got.
I spent seven dollars today on the Fanatical mystery bundle and I wanted to show you all what I got. Because I’m starved for content and will turn anything into an article.
The bundle cost $7, and contains mystery games for Steam. Now I’ve never had problems with Fanatical’s mystery bundles in the past or any of their bundles for that matter. The games they give might not be your personal preference, but I don’t think anyone can accuse the company of being underhanded.
The big draw is a golden egg that contains like a bajillion dollars worth of free games. I didn’t expect to get that prize, but I wanted to see what I would get and how much value $7 could go for.
- Game #1 is NecroVisioN: Lost Company, a $6.99 game with 73% mostly positive rating on Steam.
- Game #2 is Space Rangers: Quest, a $9.99 game with a 53% mixed rating on Steam.
- Game #3 is DIRT 4, which costs $20 and has a very positive 87% rating.
- Game #4 is Automachef, which costs $14.99 and I already own it.
- Game #5 is Grip: Combat Racing, which is $30 and has a 77% mostly positive rating.
- Game #6 is Koala Kids, a $2 who cares.
- Game #7 is Men of War: Vietnam Special Edition which at $7.99 I already owned.
- Game #8 is Men of War: Condemned Heroes which was $7.99.
- Game #9 is Lovecraft’s Untold Stories, which runs $14.99 and is positively received.
- Game #10 is Dark Devotion, which runs $19.99 and is also well received.
So for $7 I received $135 worth of games, and with maybe one exception games released by developers with some real pedigree. I’m not going to crap on the Koala Kids any more than I have, because the game does seem to have good ratings on Steam. I’m just messing with Doomster, I’m not poo-poo’ing the game or its creator.
On the other hand I now have eight more games on my backlog. Connor you stupid, stupid bastard.
