Coming to Epic Games Store.
Space Punks is coming in less than a week. Jagex today announced the upcoming launch of Space Punks, a top down ARPG from the minds of Flying Wild Hog. The free to play title is set to hit Epic Games Store on July 14 as a timed exclusive. Release plans currently involve the game going into open beta in Winter 2021 with a full launch in 2022 alongside the console release.
Jagex CEO Phil Mansell stated;
“We’re incredibly excited to unveil Space Punks – a game that we can’t wait to bring to market exclusively on Epic Games Store as the first of the games published by Jagex Partners, our third-party publishing division. Space Punks perfectly embodies our living games philosophy by providing players with a deep, social and ever-evolving multiplayer experience. We very much look forward to using the skills and experience in building huge communities gained over 20 years of developing the RuneScape franchise to support Space Punks and future games to come under the Jagex Partners umbrella.”
Space Punks features four playable characters and promises an endless arsenal of guns. Those interested in checking out the game ASAP can pick up a key in upcoming giveaways, or buy in via a selection of early access packs. Packs run from $30-50 and offer access, skins, and the first season battle pass, among other goodies.
Jagex’s publishing arm Jagex Partners is handling publishing for Space Punks.
