Beleaguered developer to close its doors.
I don’t think today’s news that CapitalGamingRP is shutting down will be a shock to many of our reader’s senses. After all, MMO Fallout suggested it happen. Civil Contract was a dismal failure of a title that not only imploded in on itself but took the company reputation with it, with equal blame due to the game’s shoddy quality as well as the conduct of the company’s CEO toward critics. CapitalGaming’s latest release Monogon: Echoes was a dollar store Garry’s Mod ripoff that was bought and repackaged under the CapitalGaming name.
The impending closure of CapitalGaming was announced via Discord (now closed) and the official website. Full announcement below;
After many years of being around, I have come to the conclusion it is best for CapitalGamingRP Studios to shut down, this is due to unfortunate circumstances that put the company in an irreparable state, this does not mean i am leaving the industry I am still working for E2, and will be around in the industry and maybe sometime down the line, I will create another company, avoiding the mistakes of the past.
Given his abusive history toward criticism and critics and pension for being an unapologetic liar, MMO Fallout won’t be holding our breath for Tanner avoiding mistakes of the past. If he does, that’ll be great. MMO Fallout wishes the best going forward for the CapitalGaming developers who never got caught up in the conduct of their CEO and simply wanted a job making video games.
