Want to try out Marvel’s Avengers but don’t got stacks? Well you’re in luck, providing you aren’t hoping to play on Xbox. This week Crystal Dynamics announced that Marvel’s Avengers will be hosting a free weekend from July 29 through August 1. Play the full game with no restrictions outside of needing a functioning device, internet access, working electricity, a display device, reasonably usable hands, and PlayStation Plus if playing on those systems.
The free weekend is available on PS4, PS5, PC (via Steam), and even Google Stadia. Where it isn’t available is Microsoft’s Xbox consoles, which CD assures us will have its own free weekend in the coming months. Unless this is a precursor to the game joining Xbox Game Pass, but you didn’t hear that from me. Wink wink.
“There’s never been a better time to assemble in Marvel’s Avengers. We’re nearing our one-year anniversary, and players who jump in will get eight heroes, tons of single- and multi-player content, ongoing events, and more,” said Scot Amos, Co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics. “In addition, we have the War for Wakanda expansion coming in August, so now is a great opportunity to get started so you’re ready to play as Black Panther and take on Klaw with the rest of the Avengers.”
