In Neverwinter and Star Trek Online.
If you’re still on Windows 7 and a big fan of Neverwinter, you’re going to need to upgrade your computer by February or face no longer being able to play the game. In an update posted to both game’s websites today, Cryptic confirmed the impending sunset of support for Windows 7 and Direct3D Feature Level 10. This update will go into effect on February 15, 2022.
As of February 15, 2022, Star Trek Online and Neverwinter will no longer be supporting Windows 7 and Direct3D Feature Level 10. This decision was made in order to improve game performance, optimize the player experience, and facilitate future development. In order to make this transition as smooth as possible, we have put together some detailed information.
After February 15 you will need to be on at least Windows 8, as well as a graphics card that supports Direct3D Feature Level 11.0 or better. It will no longer be possible to patch the game on incompatible systems once the February 15 window closes, and the player will receive a notice that the game is incompatible.
