Charity charity charity.
Cyberathlete is one of the oldest professional esports brands and tournament operators. ReadyUp is a community marketing platform. With the ongoing war crimes being committed by the Russian government, the two parties have joined forces to announce the “Esports for Ukraine” fundraiser. The charity aims to donate up to $250,000 for Ukraine relief through a partnership with World Central Kitchen which was founded by Chef José Andrés. WCK is currently serving more than 180,000 hot meals per day.
Chef Andrés said: “To continue scaling our response as this humanitarian disaster unfolds, we’re relying on our partnerships with local restaurants, caterers, and food trucks, as well as critical donations from the community, to fund and provide nourishing meals at border crossing, shelters, and other refugee locations. We appreciate all that Scott and the teams at Cyberathlete and ReadyUp are doing to drive awareness and contributions towards the WCK program in support of Ukraine.”
Companies looking to join in can become a sponsor of Cyberathete’s twenty fifth anniversary global esports collegiate event. Cyberathlete and ReadyUp are also partnering up to sell t-shirts with all profits to go to Ukraine relief.
