SNK Almost Entirely Owned By Murderer

What a world we live in.

SNK is now mostly owned by a murderer. According to an article posted by VideoGamesChronicle today, game developer SNK is now 96% owned by Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Salman, for those not in the loop, operates the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (go figure). The foundation in turn runs the Electronic Gaming Development Company, placing strategic investments in various portfolios.

As of 2022, the Electronic Gaming Development Company owns 96% of SNK, making Salman a principle owner of properties including Fatal Fury, Metal Slug and The King of Fighters. According to US Intelligence, in 2021 Salman approved the plan to have Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi murdered over his dissent and criticism of the Saudi government.

Salman’s greasy fingers have their hands in a few other companies with very minor stakes in Electronic Arts, Activision, Take-Two, Capcom, and more. Earlier this year, the Saudi Public Investment Fund acquired ESL Gaming.
