Servers shutting down January 11, 2023.
Hot off the heels of abandoning Babylon’s Fall, Square Enix today announced plans to also waste the time and financial investment of its customers by shutting down Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier just eleven months after its launch. The game was a mobile battle royale available on iOS and Android devices the launched last year.
Shinra credits have already been removed from the shop with support for Non-English versions ending November 1 with the end of service on January 11, 2023. Once Non-English support ends, the game will only display text in English until the end of service. The shuttering is just another recent example of Square Enix’s poorly planned attempts at entering the live service market.
