Swords of Legends Online is soon to be Swords of Legends Offline, as Gameforge announced today plans to close the servers down by the end of the month. Why? Simply not enough people playing to make the game sustainable.
It is with great sadness that we at Gameforge today announce the shutdown of Swords of Legends Online effective 30th June 2023.
This difficult decision has been made in mutual agreement between Gameforge and developer _Wangyuan Shengtang Entertainment_, following several months of discussions as we carefully considered the overall MMORPG landscape, and explored every possible avenue for keeping the game going.
As of today, June 1, the in-game cash shop has been deactivated for new payments. On the plus side, items will be discounted 90% to give people something to spend their remaining funny bucks on for the next few weeks.
