Earlier this week we talked about Modern Wafare 2 being dogpiled after Activision rebranded the store page, renaming the original page “Call of Duty” to act as a central page for future releases and pushing Modern Warfare 2 to a new store page with no reviews. Only the game started to get a lot of reviews, and very few of them were good.
User sentiment has only gotten worse over the last few days, and it’s putting Modern Warfare II at risk of winning an award Activision probably doesn’t want. As of Saturday night Modern Warfare 2 is the second lowest rated Steam game with a 13% “overwhelmingly negative” score.
The only thing people hate more than this game is 2022’s SuperPower 3.
Once again I have to ask how exactly Activision thought this would turn out.
