The PUBG people.
Krafton, the folks behind PUBG: Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds today announced some news that might catch you by surprise. The company has acquired the rights to create and publish a mobile version of Dark and Darker.
Dark and Darker has been in legal trouble as developer Ironmace deals with lawsuits from Nexon claiming the game was made using stolen code from an unreleased title, with Ironmace being made up of ex-Nexon employees. The game is a fantasy extraction title where players go into a dungeon and fight monsters and each other to extract with big loot.
Krafton will be handling the mobile version of the game.
“We’ve been watching DARK AND DARKER’s potential and distinct creativity with great interest,” said Rafael Lim, Senior Head of Publishing at KRAFTON. “From the genre to the setting of the overall IP, DARK AND DARKER tapped into something compelling with its existing PC release. Here at KRAFTON, we can’t wait to share these exciting dungeon runs with a whole new community of fans on mobile.”
