APB On Consoles Is Dead And Partly Buried

Xbox already dead.

APB: Reloaded is dead on consoles, and really dead on Xbox. In an announcement posted today, Little Orbit CEO Matthew Scott revealed that both console versions will be shut down for everyone’s favorite cops vs robbers MMO. For PlayStation users that will happen in August. For Xbox users that will happen in now.

The Xbox version has been offline for a little while now, owing to technical issues, and won’t be brought back online. The PS4 version meanwhile will be up until August 2.

The decision to discontinue APB Reloaded on consoles was driven by a combination of technical challenges, resource constraints, and the evolving landscape of gaming. We want to ensure that our players have the best possible gaming experience, and unfortunately, sustaining the game on console platforms has proven increasingly challenging.

Players on both systems will be able to migrate their characters to PC. For Xbox users that option is available now, for PlayStation users that will launch February 1.
