That’s official.
Old School RuneScape is getting an official HD client, as announced by Jagex this week. Up until now players have been relegated to the unofficial HD mode on Runelite, a third party client officially approved by Jagex for use. So supported that Runelite was integrated into the Jagex launcher not too long ago.
The client will introduce all kinds of new effects like clouds, water effects, fog, dynamic lighting, and more. A playable alpha will be out soon with an always online beta to follow. Keep tuned for more details.
