At the start of the month Toadman Interactive announced that it would be undergoing layoffs and studio closures. A post on the official LinkedIn page revealed that offices in Stockholm, Visby, and Oslo would close down with reports from EG7 stating that approximately 100 employees would be laid off in the process.
In a post on the EvilVEvil Discord this morning, the team confirmed that while EvilVEvil will remain online, that development on season 2 has been postponed.
Hello @everyone. You have probably all heard/read about some of our studios closing down and are wondering what this means for EvilVEvil. The good news is that EvilVEvil will stay open. Sadly, any further development is put on hold, which also means that Season 02 is postponed. This Discord will stay open, so please keep posting any feedback or bugs encountered. Unfortunately we cannot tell you any more than this at the current time, but we want to thank you for being such an awesome community!
EvilVEvil launched on Steam to a peak concurrent user count of 37 people. It is a cooperative vampire shooter.
