Understanding why NCSoft refuses to offer revenue numbers.
Throne & Liberty is doing absolutely fantastic, a fact we’ve known ever since NCSoft refused to offer any sort of hard data on the game’s sales. Not because the game is performing badly and with over a decade of development time and budget behind it probably won’t make a profit. But because NCSoft wants to stay humble, like an Olympic gymnast who hides their gold medals in a closet so as to not get a big head about it all.
The folks at Amazon have finally detailed upcoming server sunsets for Throne & Liberty. I’m trusting MassivelyOP’s math here because they, unlike yours truly, can count higher than however many fingers I still have. The total damage amounts to 107 servers being merged down to 25.
Auction houses for all servers will be merged down to one shared market per region on February 6 with the exception of console-specific servers that will continue to use their own separate marketplace.
Amazon is hosting a bonus even from February 13 to the 27, offering 20% bonus Sollant from killing monsters and 50% mastery experience from all sources. You’ll also get a free transfer token.
