Warzone Mobile Is Already Dead

Activision to end content updates.

The existence of Warzone Mobile is a little weird when you remember that Call of Duty Mobile already exists, and has its own battle royale mode. And evidently Activision’s attempt to cannibalize its own mobile game has backfired, and the newest version is going away. Kind of.

In an update on the support site, Activision states that support will end on May 18. That’s tomorrow. You won’t be able to buy COD points and the game won’t be receiving any additional seasonal content.

Thank you for your dedication and passion for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. The scope of the game is being streamlined and will stop delivering new seasonal content and gameplay updates. Effective immediately, players will no longer be able to spend real currency in the mobile game. Existing COD Point balances can continue to be spent in the in-game Store. Sunday, May 18, 2025, will be the last day the game can be downloaded from the Google Play and Apple’s App Store and social features across all platforms will be retired.

Interestingly enough, Warzone Mobile isn’t shutting down. Evidently it is squeaking by enough to keep the servers online, just not enough to keep anyone employed to develop content.

You won’t be able to share inventory from future Black Ops 6/Warzone seasons with Warzone Mobile, and there won’t be any updates, but the game will still be available for online play for the foreseeable future.

You’ll also be able to transfer your COD points to Call of Duty: Mobile. Players who log in to Call of Duty: Mobile prior to August 15, 2025 will receive double the amount of COD points that there are currently in their Warzone Mobile accounts.
