RuneScape: Spineless CEO Behind Pride Event Cancellation

Jon Bellamy is a coward.

PinkNews is dropping some pink news this week.

According to a recently released news piece, evidence has been presented showing that Jagex’s new CEO Jon Bellamy was personally responsible for cancelling this year’s RuneScape pride events.

In a statement to employees, Jon Bellamy confirmed that he did in fact order the cancellation due to a lack of structure in his spinal column and fears of RuneScape being cancelled due to a perception of being woke. Bellamy notes that “the pendulum is swinging back in a way we didn’t expect.”

“I understand that RuneScape… is precious because it is a safe space, it is an escape from reality, and the reality that we find ourselves in is changing. It is getting stranger, more troubling, less moral, I would argue. Games and studios are being cancelled because of content that is perceived to be ‘woke’ or representative. The pendulum is swinging back in a way we didn’t expect.”

Bellamy goes on to explain that it is his job to bend the knee to internet bigots and “protect” the company against controversial content that “brings more risk than it did previously.” What kind of risk? The kind that only exists in Jon Bellamy’s cowardly mind.

Go to hell, Jon. MMO Fallout will be ending all coverage and promotion of RuneScape for the foreseeable future.
