Steam Cleaned: Asset Thief Streamworks Banned From Store

And their little dog too.

It’s only been three days since Valve last walked softly and carried a big stick, but there are plenty more dirty devs where that came from. Roughly two hours ago from this publishing Valve swung the hammer down on developer/publisher Streamworks and all fifteen of their games.

Streamworks develops ecchi games, mostly in the realm of cheap puzzle shovelware that includes pictures of naked anime girls. According to user discussions their games are absolute crap, and in many cases flat out don’t work or misleadingly advertise as containing achievements while not actually containing them. The developer also steals a lot of artwork for their games, as noted by multiple threads in the Steam community and on Twitter documenting the theft.

Is the ban due to rampant art theft? Was it because Streamworks is misleadingly close to Valve’s own Steamworks name? The world may never know. What we do know is that Streamworks has been shown the door and all of their games have been terminated from the platform. The list is as follows for those of you who find this page ten months from now trying to figure out why you can’t buy one or more of these games:

  • Cyberprank Girls 2077
  • Ecchi Meeting!
  • Destiny Girls
  • Guns of Bullshit
  • Ecchi Sky
  • Ecchi Girls
  • Sakura Girls
  • Redemption Girls
  • Summer Girls
  • Quarantine Girls
  • Aly Girls
  • Valora Girls
  • Japan Girls

The ban also includes Streamworks upcoming titles including Magic Lords: Multiplayer, China Girls, and Corona Girls.
