Marvel Heroes Heading East To Asian Markets

Step aside, Avengers, or actually just stay where you are. Gazillion Entertainment has announced a partnership with cloud computing company Ubitus Inc to bring Marvel Heroes to Asia this summer. Leveraging Ubitus’ market reach, the super hero MMO will be rolling out over the region beginning with Korea and heading China-bound with other countries to follow. In addition to being available on PC and Mac, gamers will also be able to enjoy Marvel Heroes on their tablets, Smart TVs, and IPTV set-top boxes.

“Marvel itself has done an excellent job of further popularizing its iconic characters in Asian territories, and now is the perfect time to bring the ultimate game set in the Marvel Universe to those regions,” said Dave Dohrmann, CEO of Gazillion. “Marvel Heroes 2016 has gotten a great reception from our fans, and by broadening the reach of this game to a global scale, we are thrilled to have our game enjoyed by millions of new players.”

More information on the Marvel Heroes launch as it appears. No word at the moment on whether the game’s mobile functionality will hit western markets.

Marvel Heroes: BOGO Sale

If you’re looking to get your hands on some new digs in Marvel Heroes, you’re in luck. Until Tuesday February 23rd, when you but a hero or costume from the Gazillion store, you’ll receive a free random token for a hero or costume respectively.

The random token comes with the possibility of giving you a hero or costume that you already own. The sale only involves individual heroes and costumes sold through the in-game store, no other packs are included. The costume pack does not include the new Rocket Raccoon Symbiote costume.

Marvel Heroes 2016 Is Here, Controller Support Now In

Marvel Heroes 2016 is here, and the long awaited controller support has come along with it. The 2016 update brings with it the secret invasion story line, with ten new regions, twelve new bosses, and a new patrol zone. The update also introduces Black Cat as the latest playable character, an Agent Venom team-up, and a revamped Deadpool. Captain America, Black Widow, and Jean Grey round out the first group of older heroes who will be receiving a facelift in order to bring them in line with the graphical fidelity of more recent heroes.

Marvel Heroes Offers 14 Days Of Festive Favors

Gazillion Entertainment has begun the first day of festive events in Marvel Heroes, inviting players to log in each day for the next two weeks for a new present each day. The game has been pretty generous in the past with holiday presents, and this year looks to be the same with plenty of free eternity splinters, team ups, pets, costumes, and a random hero box. You can also use the code H2-B2 for a free Herbie pet.

Marvel Heroes: Stock Up On Cheap Crafting Tabs

The Marvel Heroes Mystic Mayhem event has arrived, ushering in the new Infernal Limbo zone not to mention tons of possibilities for loot. Head into Limbo and get your hands on eternity splinters, legendary scrolls, hero tokens, and more. Check out the detailed forum post for more information on exactly what the event entails.

Those of you who don’t mind throwing a little dosh into the game should be aware of an upcoming update dubbed Stash 2.0. As part of the update, crafting tabs will be going away as part of a series of updates that will streamline crafting and make the tabs less useful over time. As a result, Gazillion is getting in on the action early and will be converting crafting tabs to general tabs as part of an upcoming update.

What does this mean for you? If you were looking at buying stash tabs, now is the perfect time to do so. Crafting tabs cost 300g compared to 500g for general tabs, saving nearly 50%. Buy all six for 1800g and save approximately $12.

Marvel Heroes Mystic Mayhem Promises A Lot of Loot

Gazillion Entertainment has released a preview of the next big event for Marvel Heroes: Mystic Mayhem. The event, which should begin later this month, tasks heroes with fighting back a demonic horde, eventually taking their fight to the off-world of Limbo. For the duration of the event, players will be able to get their hands on legendary scrolls, packs of eternity splinters, hero tokens, and more. As always, the update will be accompanied by a slate of new achievements and a period of bonus experience and rare item find.

Mystic Mayhem is a new event for Marvel Heroes. It’s born out of the necessity to ensure N’astirh’s invasion of Earth does not succeed and the demon’s base of operations in Limbo is shut down. Many heroes of the Marvel Universe are coming together to help you, the Hero, defeat the Demon invasions and stop the mayhem. In scope and size, the new Mystic Mayhem event is a cross between a regular weekly event and a Big Ten event. Mystic Mayehm will be included and return in the regular cycle of events.

Mystic Mayhem will hopefully go live before the end of the month, but you don’t have to play now to get in on the rewards. The event will be added to the normal rotation, appearing again at some point in the future.

Marvel Heroes Will Annualize Versions

The shift from Marvel Heroes to Marvel Heroes 2015 took a rather mediocre game and transformed it into the critically acclaimed title it is today, but don’t expect that shiny 2015 tag to stay forever. In an interview with Game Sauce, David Brevik discusses that Marvel Heroes will see annualized versions, accompanied by major patches with a new year attached, similar to annual sports games except you’re not required to buy a new game.

It’s kind of a common practice for annualized products … so we took that, and said we’ll rebrand it as Marvel Heroes 2015 and get new reviews, and we were able to raise our Metacritic score from a 58 to an 81, which proved that all of our hard work and effort had really gone a long way, making the product much better.

Marvel Heroes Patch Introduces Major Bugs, Emergency Maintenance Coming

Gazillion Entertainment launched the latest patch for Marvel Heroes, leaving a lot of broken pieces in its wake. Players are reporting latency issues, poor performance in certain areas, and an inability to get into the game at all. To top things off, some (including yours truly) are experiencing disconnections with the error “error saving characters, please contact support,” kicking them off of the server and losing approximately ten minutes of progression in the process.

There are a metric ton of errors being reported across the game and cash shop as part of the patch, and the general consensus among many is to just leave the game alone until Gazillion has a chance to fix it. Luckily, an emergency patch is set to go live in a few hours, at 10pm Pacific (1am Eastern).

We’re currently planning for the emergency patch to fix this issue and a few others for 10PM PDT tonight. Will keep you updated once I know for sure with an officiall announcement.

For those of you who were looking to get your Marvel Heroes fill tonight, well you can always brave it out and hope you don’t get hit by the ‘error saving characters’ bug. Just be aware that if you open up lockboxes and you get disconnected losing your progress, you’ll have to re-open them.

Ant-Man Comes To Marvel Heroes

Ahead of his debut in theaters, Marvel Heroes players can now acquire Scott Lang donning the Ant-Man suit to bust up villains. Gamers who pre-ordered Ant-Man received his default costume as well as one inspired by the upcoming film.

Though a brilliant electronics expert, Scott Lang had made his share of bad decisions. Having served time in prison for burglary, Scott would return to his life of crime in order to save his terminally ill daughter, Cassie. Stealing the Ant-Man suit from Hank Pym, Scott would use the suit to save Dr. Erica Sondheim, the only doctor capable of saving Cassie from her heart condition. Once he realized that Scott was only trying to do the right thing, Hank Pym not only let Scott keep the suit, but gave him his blessing as the brand new Ant-Man!

Marvel Heroes Giving Away $25,000

Gazillion Entertainment has announced a $25,000 giveaway for Marvel Heroes, and all you need to do to have a chance at winning is play the game starting today and running until all five tickets have been claimed. Players have a very rare chance at receiving one of five golden (purple) vibranium tickets. Whoever does find a ticket must email Gazillion within five days and provide proof of eligibility in order to claim their prize: A solid five grand.

This contest is eligible to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, Canada (excluding Quebec), Germany, France, the UK, and Australia who are over the age of 18. Employees and immediate families of Gazillion or Marvel Entertainment are not eligible to win. Please read our Official Rules Page.

Any winners who claim their prize by July 10th will be publicly congratulated at Gazillion’s Comic Con panel.
