Neverwinter: Swords of Chult Hits PC


Perfect World Entertainment today launched the latest update for Neverwinter, the Swords of Chult.

This update, which is set to come to consoles at a later date, introduces the Merchant Prince’s Folly skirmish, a dynamic, 5-player skirmish available at end game. In addition, quality of life updates hope to make inventory management much simpler and straightforward, with the ability to sort, identify, and sell treasures.

And last but not least, in order to make the game more alt-friendly, players with multiple characters will be able to create a Signet of Patronage to help their alternate characters through the game’s campaigns. More information can be found here, or you can watch the handy video below.

Protector’s Jubilee Returns To Neverwinter: New Rewards/Events


It’s back! Like the McRib, the Protector’s Jubilee only comes around once every so often to the delight of its audience. While Neverwinter’s event may not be glazed in barbecue sauce, it does offer a host of freebies and sales during the week long event. Beginning Tuesday and running through June 26, players will be able to take part in several events including Elminster’s Messages which will task you with traveling to various zones to complete quests as well as the Protector’s Speech Skirmish, an instanced party mini-game involving the protection of Lord Neverember himself.

During the event, you’ll also be able to get your hands on free goodies including the bag of holding and level 60 experience boost. You’ll need to log in each day to claim the new item.

[Neverwinter] Tomb of Annihilation Brings Dinosaurs July 25


Perfect World Entertainment has announced the Tomb of Annihilation, the next major update to launch in Neverwinter. Set for release on July 25 on PC and later this year on console, this update (as you might have figured by reading the headline) takes adventurers to a far off jungle peninsula of Chult where you’ll encounter the undead and dinosaurs. The update introduces a new campaign, end-game dungeon, a new zone and social hub, as well as monster hunts with Volo.

Summer is coming, and if you play any of Perfect World Entertainment’s titles, you’re in for a summer of fun. Given the size of their library, the folks at PWE have taken the time to compile just what each game has to offer and when. So take a minute to browse through the game list and see what’s down for the next couple of months. If you don’t see your game listed, PWE probably doesn’t publish it.

Neverwinter:
Protector’s Jubilee (June 20 – 27)

The city of Neverwinter will be decked out with confetti and festive decorations to celebrate the game’s fourth anniversary! During Protector’s Jubilee, adventurers can celebrate Neverwinter’s latest milestone by completing special quests for rewards throughout the Sword Coast. This year’s festivities will yield brand new incentives for players, including the chance to earn a Jubilee Unicorn, Shadow Dragon Throne, Firebreathing emote or furniture for the Great Hall. Plus, Lord Neverember will reward all of the city’s brave adventurers with free giveaways throughout the week.
Summer Festival (July 6– 27)

It’s time to celebrate Sune, the goddess of beauty, during Neverwinter’s annual Summer Festival. Adventurers can participate in this hallowed tradition by competing in classic contests, including the Summer Feast, Troll Fight, Water Battle and Sahha. New rewards have been added to the store, including the Fungal Flail Snail and Summer Flail Snail mounts, plus the “Sit and Relax” emote. Guilds can celebrate summer solstice by participating in a feast held in their Great Hall.

Lohlunat Festival (June 8 – July 20)

It’s time for captains to take a break from saving the universe and escape to Risa for some much needed rest and relaxation. During Star Trek Online’s annual Lohlunat Festival, players will explore the luxurious Summer Resort, where they will cruise around on floaters and complete challenges for rewards, including pets, costumes, powerboards and Lohlunat Prize Vouchers. For those playing on Xbox One and PS4, these vouchers can be redeemed for Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort [T6], while PC players can earn the new Vorgon Ryn’Kodan Carrier [T6]. In addition, PC players can participate in a new event called “The Biathlon,” which combines hoverboard racing with floater flying. Patriot’s Celebration (June 29 – July 14)

In celebration of Canada Day and Independence Day, Champions Onlineoffers heroes a way to rep the countries they love with the return of the Patriot’s Celebration. This in-game event lets champions queue up for the Red Winter Alert, which requires them to fight off an enemy looking to bring about the next Cold War. Defeating this foe will earn players Patriot Tokens, which can be used to earn new rewards, including the Orbiting Star Aura, Stars Aura, US and Canadian Flag Athletics and Acrobatics and a Valiant Emote. Area 52 (June 28 – July 12)

Strange creatures have arrived in Perfect World. For two weeks, players can grab their friends and hunt down these extra-terrestrial life forms to earn a special statue for their Homestead.
Returned Boss Event (June 19-23)
The game’s toughest bosses have returned! Killing these enemies will yield special items, such as low level Dragon Orbs, sealed flyers and more.
Wraith Hunters (July 5 – 19)
Players can accept a quest from the Wraith Hunter NPC’s stationed in the major class cities around Perfect World to kill one of five random bosses. Rewards include a Wraith Hunter’s Insignia which can be traded for a War Avatar Pack S.
Tsuchun’s Treasure (June 14 – June 28)
Those who accept this quest will receive a treasure map that can be used to locate Tsuchun’s Treasure. This item will guide players to various chests that they will dig up to claim points for rewards.
Pinata Bosses (July 17  – 21)
Defeat special bosses to earn Giant Festival Coins, which will yield an assortment of prizes such as Mirage Celestones, Socket Stones, Bronze Guardian Charms, Bronze Spirit Charms, Hyper EXP Stones, Fantasy Fruit, scrolls and coins.

Neverwinter: Celebrate Gond By Making A Doohickey This Weekend


Neverwinter’s next event starts up today, in fact by the time you read this it will already be live and running. Wonders of Gond tasks players with collecting Wondrous Grommets, mechanical components that are then combined into higher tiered items. As you continue to refine the Grommets into higher tiered goods, you’ll eventually create the Doohickey, a name that I did not make up for this news piece. The doohickey can be used in battle or traded in for a Creations of Wonder Pack which in turn can be opened for rewards.

Lucky players can obtain an Apparatus of Gond mount as well as a number of other goodies from the Creations of Wonder Pack. The event run this weekend until May 22, and also happens to coincide with a double experience weekend beginning and ending at the same time.

Neverwinter Hits 15 Million Players Across 3 Systems


Neverwinter has plenty of reasons to celebrate today as the MMO announces that it has reached 15 million customers across PC, Xbox, and Playstation. Perfect World Entertainment has released a video thanking the community, embedded below.

Since its original launch in June 2013, Neverwinter has continued to receive expansions, bringing exciting and diverse content from the Forgotten Realms and Dungeons & Dragons lore. From defeating the elven lich Valindra Shadowmantle to facing off against monstrous demon lords in the Underdark and going toe-to-toe with frost giants in Icewind Dale, adventurers continue to experience the Forgotten Realms with players around the world. The Cloaked Ascendancy, now available on all platforms, marks the 11th major content expansion to the action MMO.

Perfect World Announces Driftwood Tavern Livestreams


Perfect World Entertainment has announced a new fireside chat for Neverwinter called the Driftwood Tavern. Set to stream every two weeks on Friday, the first stream will be live on Twitch on April 14th to discuss updates, hand out prizes, and more. The developers over at Perfect World Entertainment regularly publish developer blogs on various subjects, and this latest announcement appears to be pushing communication with the community even further.

Neverwinter’s D&D Campaigns Return This Week


If you’ve ever been playing Neverwinter and found the game severely lacking in characters mocking your actions, you’re in luck. Beginning this Thursday and running for a month, players will once again have access to Respen and Portobello’s Dungeons & Dragons campaign. Adventurers interested in getting their 20-sided dice dirty will have the opportunity to get their hands on a number of rewards like the owlbear figurine and Beholder personal tank.

Both Respen’s and Portobello’s campaigns will be occurring during this time, each with tasks to offer during the month-long event. In between evaluations at the Burrow Dawn Inn, don’t forget to check the event queues for new ways to be tested! A new queue will open up each week, so be sure to check back regularly!
