NCSoft releases Q4 sales.
NCSoft released their Q4 sales figures and the results are results. They aren’t terrible, not great, just results. Sales were surprisingly unchanged in a world where people spent a record amount of time at home playing video games, with sales up 5% year over year with profit up 11% over the same period, pre-tax income up 22% and net income up 49% most impressively by comparison.
Lineage continues to make the bulk of NCSoft sales between Lineage, Lineage 2, and the mobile spinoffs. The Aion classic server that launched in Korea late last year has been a success, driving year over year PC-based online sales by 4%. Royalty sales also fell off over the same period due to lower sales. Otherwise most of NCSoft’s regular titles have been relatively stagnant as far as annual sales go.
