On the plus side there’s nobody in queue for once.
The good news is that Amazon has figured out how to fix New World’s issue with extended queues. Bad news, that solution involves nobody being allowed to play. New World suffered extended downtime today after maintenance went awry, resulting in a four hour maintenance window becoming more than that. Servers are back online as of this posting and players are playing once again.
Today’s update introduced methods of detecting and booting AFK players as well as general bug fixes, as well as introducing a confirmation for players leaving the queue to mitigate misclicks. Check out the patch notes linked above for more details.
