Won’t be happening after all.
BlizzCon has been BlizzCancelled with BlizzCondolences being offered to the BlizzCommunity. Originally scheduled for an online conference in early 2022, Blizzard announced today that the online BlizzCon would be cancelled for the foreseeable future. The announcement doesn’t offer any information on when BlizzCon is expected to return, however it does note that Blizzard will continue to keep customers informed on upcoming releases.
One more thing we wanted to make clear: even though we aren’t holding BlizzConline in February, we’ll still be making announcements and updates for our games. We’re proud of our teams and the progress they’ve made across our games. We have a lot of exciting upcoming news and releases to share with you. You’ll continue hearing about those through our franchise channels, with the talented people on the BlizzCon team playing a part in supporting these efforts.
More information on the return of BlizzCon is expected at an unknown point in the future, once Blizzard has figured out a way to make it inclusive, safe, and welcoming.
