CD Projekt Red Halts Sales In Russia

And Belarus.

It’s another one of those posts. As the Russian military continues to commit war crimes in Ukraine, the combined efforts of the world are coming down hard on the Russian economy. From developers hiking prices in protest to raising funds for charity, the ban of Russia’s banks from the Swift system, export embargoes, and more, life is not looking great for people in Russia. Not as bad as life in Ukraine, given the war crimes being committed by the Russian military, but not great.

CD Projekt Red, being a Polish developer, this week announced that they will stop selling their games in Russia for the time being. The move also cuts Belarus, effectively the only government to enthusiastically support Russia’s war crimes.
