Now on current gen.
Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online are now available on another round of consoles. Both versions of the niche indie title Grand Theft Auto V are available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X through their respective console stores with a bunch of improvements and other stuff.
Players can expect better visuals, up to 4k 60fps with HDR, ray tracing, textures, and more. Load up the game much faster and check out the haptic feedback on the PS5 Dualsense controller. The current gen versions also play host to Hao’s Special Works, offering upgrades and modifications to vehicles that aren’t available on prior console versions.
Returning players from PS4 and Xbox One will receive a complimentary fully upgraded Karin S95 after unlocking Hao’s Special Works. You’ll also unlock the Dark Purple Pearl and Red Prismatic Paints. New career builder paths are available to players just starting out, offering a more concentrated path on how to get started in your new life of crime.
GTA Online is free for PS5 players to keep for the next month. Rockstar notes that migrating your GTA Online profile from PS4/XB1 will remove the profile from those systems.
