Steam: Valve Yeets Skibidi Toilet Games

Possibly due to copyright takedown.

One small trend (if you can call it that) that I’ve been tracking on Steam are the growing list of games trying to jump on the Skibidi Toilet bandwagon. And by jump on I mean blatant copyright theft.

It got me wondering if these games were seriously going to be allowed on Steam. Outside of the obvious threat of creator DaFuqBoom issuing a takedown (which the guy seems fine with a multitude of YouTube copycats), creating a game true to the series also means stealing Valve’s Half Life 2 assets. There’s also the copyright on the song infamously used in the series.

Well someone is paying attention, because most of the Skibidi games were yeeted off of Steam today and it looks like a copyright takedown. That includes Skibidi Backrooms and Skibidi Toilet Skibidi Boom. Skibidi Toilets: Invasion got pulled from Steam about a week ago ahead of its launch and Nextbot multiplayer got yanked from Steam back in July.

Most of the games were yet to be released, however Skibidi Toilet Hero came out on November 17, Skibidi Verse on November 1, and SKIBIDI: ESCAPE FROM TOILETS! on December 1. None of these games have been flagged as banned, which historically has pointed to a DMCA takedown.

There is one app that has yet to be removed, Skibidi Battle – Toilets Attack which is very clearly a fake game as all of its promotional materials are screenshots and videos stolen directly from the video series.

So much for the Skibidi video game world.
