[Early Access] Histeria Crashes Amid Terrible Reviews

18% very negative reviews.

With the big avalanche of releases that is a normal day on Steam, many titles don’t get more than a first impression before players move on. A lot of others don’t get any impressions at all, and very rarely does a game get a second lease at life.

But the collapse of Histeria may make the record books as the game hasn’t even been out for 24 hours and the small population has already collapsed as the game suffers from very negative review scores and player contempt. The 326 peak player count has already plummeted down 95% to about 19 people.

Players are upset about performance issues, servers chugging, poor controls, the lack of players (a compounding issue), the lack of bots to fill in those spots, and the usual problems with early access indie games on day one.

Histeria has a tough road ahead what with the two hundred million generic shooters that will release in the next week on Steam crowding each other for competition. We’ll see if it can reverse course.

  1. Maybe it’s 18% positive reviews? If it’s 18% negative reviews, it would mean it’s 72% positive reviews, which would put the game in the “Mostly Positive” category.
