PSA: Return To Atlantica Online, or Lose Everything
Atlantica Online is getting a new set of parents in the form of VALOFE, moving from its current home at Nexon on January 11th. As part of this transition, players are warned to transfer their stuff or face the possibility of losing it. Anyone who does not transfer their account over by the January 11th transition will lose everything, and there won’t be a way to get it back.
“We’ve always had the passion for playing games. We think that this is a great foundation for being able to operate the game for the community we’re about to have.” said the Game Operation Team for Atlantica Online in VALOFE. “We [VALOFE] envision the acquisition as a ‘homecoming’ and an opportunity to awaken the great potential of this MMO, promising the improvement of game-play for players, veteran and new.”
Our thoughts: If you have an account on Atlantica Online, do yourself a favor and just transfer it. You a year from now who wants to play it again will be thankful.

Atlantica Online Transitioning To New Management

Atlantians,
After nearly ten years of traveling the globe to battle the corruption of Oriharukon, we regret to inform you Nexon America, NDOORS and Daum have arrived at the difficult decision to discontinue our service of Atlantica Online. Publishing rights will be transferred to VALOFE Global Ltd, an online and mobile game developer and subsidiary of VALOFE.
We’ve enjoyed our time with the Atlantica Online community, and all of the memorable experiences we shared. We’ve done our best to provide you with a robust and enjoyable experience, but unfortunately we’ve been unable to maintain our player base and have seen the community dwindle.
For those of you who have stayed and wish to continue playing Atlantica Online, you will be able to transfer your account and characters to the VALOFE service once it begins, and we will announce a service transfer schedule and other details soon.
We’d like to thank all of our players for their support throughout the years; we could not have accomplished all we did without you, and we hope you will join us in a new adventure soon. Stay tuned for invites and opportunities to join the community of other Nexon America titles.
–The Atlantica Online Team
Our thoughts: It isn’t often that a game shuts down simultaneously in three regions without the developer shuttering being the cause. On the plus side, players will be able to transfer their characters and items, a sad rarity in cases where a game changes hands.

Atlantica Online Vs Child’s Play: Blame The Players

“due to some negative player complaints, Child’s Play has regrettably asked to be withdrawn from our efforts to raise money for their cause. We were informed that Child’s Play received negative emails from Atlantica Online players around the nature of the donation and the box, causing them to request removal from our fundraising efforts. “
There’s an unwritten list of things that fall under the category of “burns you can’t recover from.” The list includes, but is not limited to, getting divorced via text message, getting fired via text message, starving while snowed in at a grocery store, and finally having a charity tell you “thanks, but no thanks” to your donations.
