It’s Official: Gamers Hate Warcraft 3 More Than Digital Homicide

Digital Homicide will go down in history as one of the most embarrassing blights on the gaming industry. Since one of the two Romines has decided to put himself back into the public eye by publishing propaganda about the company’s short-lived history, now is as good of a time as any to bring up the company’s titles in reference to…Warcraft 3?
Yes, Warcraft 3. Following Blizzard’s PR nightmare last year regarding Hearthstone and Blitzchung, the company finds itself once again being nearly universally roasted over the release of Warcraft 3: Reforged. You name it, customers are probably angry over it. Misleading advertising, reduced animations, broken servers, merging the remake with the original client, Blizzard’s EULA stating they own any mod you make, the list goes on and on and on.
But you know the proverbial shinola has hit the fan when your AAA game is rated lower than Digital Homicide’s worst-rated title. More than 10,000 people have voted on Warcraft 3 on Metacritic and have given the game a 0.6 rating. By contrast DigiHom’s lowest rated game is The Slaughtering Grounds which stands at a 0.9.

Yes, Warcraft 3 is viewed less favorably than a developer that tried to launch frivolous lawsuits against 100 Steam uses and a Youtube critic for being mean.
World of Warcraft Hosts Welcome Back Weekend
In case you really wanted to rekindle your addiction, Blizzard has announced the next Welcome Back Weekend for World of Warcraft. Running March 21 to the 24, you’ll be able to log back in and have access up to the last expansion purchased, or Legion, whichever is greater. In addition, players will be able to complete the Battle for Azeroth trial experience which allots three hours of gameplay in Battle for Azeroth (or up to a certain quest). The trial experience can be played with up to twelve characters per account.
New allies have entered the fight for Azeroth, and you’re needed on the frontlines. This weekend, we’re upgrading all inactive WoW accounts to allow you full access to the game and all of your characters without a subscription. You’ll also be able access the Battle for Azeroth™ trial experience, even if you do not own the expansion.
Rejoin your guild, rally your comrades, and get back in the fight.

World of Warcraft is Dying: Subscriptions Increase
As World of Warcraft continues its descent to an early death, Blizzard has revealed that World of Warcraft has seen a bump in subscribers. The MMO behemoth is currently sitting at 7.4 million, six hundred thousand more subscribers, as of October 14th. Today’s MMOrning Shot comes to us from Diablo III, which I finally decided to reinstall and complete the story mode on. ARPGs like Diablo are all about loot: getting better loot to kill more creatures to get better loot to kill more creatures. If you haven’t played Diablo III since before loot 2.0 and the other changes, check it out. The game is a lot better and it is much easier to equip your character properly.
Level up with MMOrning Shots every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Blizzard Releases Free Trial For Diablo III

Blizzard announced today that Diablo III is launching a starter edition, the restrictions of which will be familiar to those who participated in the pre-release beta. Announced earlier today, new players will be able to play up through Act 1, to the Skeleton King, absolutely free. There are several restrictions in place to keep the service from being abused by gold farmers: Level is capped at 13, starter accounts will be unable to access either auction house, and match making will only be available with other starter edition users.
Any progress made during the starter edition will be carried over if you do decide to purchase the full game. The starter edition serves to branch out the already available guest pass.

Raptr Rewards: Claim Mists of Pandaria Beta Keys

*Note: Since I’ve received numerous comments in regard to this and the other Raptr articles, I would like to point out that this is not a sponsored article. MMO Fallout does not accept offers for sponsored articles.*
We here at MMO Fallout love Raptr. If you haven’t heard of it, Raptr is a service similar to Xfire which tracks your games, achievements, time played, and more. As you play games and earn achievements, you rank up in comparison to your fellow gamers, and this is where Raptr leads the pack: Every so often, Raptr offers some great rewards for the simple act of ranking up. These range from in-game items to full games, and coupons to buy games. On the downside, the promotions are quantity and time limited, so you’ll need to be fast to earn them.
The latest deal to hit Raptr soon is a promotion for World of Warcraft. Starting later this week, players who are ranked “Experienced” (top 60%) or above in World of Warcraft will be able to claim a Mists of Pandaria beta key. There are only five thousand keys to be claimed, and they are guaranteed to be gone within just a few hours of the promotion starting.
On another fine note, this giveaway is available in all regions except for China and Korea. Sorry! Beta keys are redeemed through Battle.net.
MMO Fallout will be showcasing more Raptr rewards as they appear.
