Lord of the Rings Online is giving away quests.
Allods Online has introduced quite an interesting money sink: Coupons! In a recent post titled Wind of Changes: Closer Look at Pure Soul, the team at gPotato details the new class change coupons. These coupons allow players to change their class, not to mention their gear, race, and appearance, with the click of a button. The catch? The coupons are placed on the auction house once per week, and only one coupon per class is available each week. How much do you really want to change your class? As Jerry Mcguire would say, show me the money!
Join the auction, and keep bidding until you have beaten all competitors! The precious coupon will be yours! Use it and you will be able to obtain a Core Morpher related to the chosen class. Players from the subscription server will receive it via in-game mail, whereas players from the Free-to-play server will acquire the Core Morpher in the Item Shop by redeeming the coupon they won from the Auction House.
Happy bidding.

Forge is already available on Steam for $19.99, but if you’ve been holding out for some kind of sale you are in luck. Those of you who read MMO Fallout know that I love Raptr because it is essentially a version of Xfire (or similar programs) that gives you free stuff just for playing video games, including free copies of Rift and beta keys for other MMOs. Since I can’t write an article about Raptr without someone accusing it of being sponsored, and since Raptr has still yet to send the unmarked bills I specifically requested, I’ve kept the articles to a minimum lately.
The important part of this story is that, starting April 16th, you’ll be able to grab a 75% off coupon for Forge on Steam. All you need is newbie rank or above in one of the games below, have a Steam account connected to your Raptr profile, have run the desktop app recently, and have a verified email address. That’s it. No subscription, no surveys completed, no stupid fracking advertisements. If you aren’t familiar with Raptr, you gain ranks in the games the longer you play them with the desktop app activated (or the more achievements you gain on console games if you link those accounts).
So what is the catch, Omali, you say. The reward will be offered on April 16th and there is a limited number of codes. I have no idea how many at this point, but you can be assured it will likely be in the hundreds, if not thousands.

Update: EA has retracted its free game offer, noting that the original notice was created in mistake. EA CFO Blake Jorgensen reached out to MMO Fallout to explain what was simply a case of mistaken identity:
Electronic Arts stands at the head of a large number of subsidiaries, and it’s become so hard to keep track of how many we’ve had to apologize for that we decided to set up an automated system we call the Apology Bot 3000. Unfortunately the system still has some kinks to work out and sent out the coupons under the false pretense that EA owns Sony. We apologize for the mistaken apology and to compensate our users, we will be sending each of our members an unlock code for a free copy of Peggle on the Playstation Vita.
Original Story: In an unexpected and unexplainable move, Electronic Arts has reached out in apology to Playstation 3 owners affected by today’s Playstation Store downtime, and has offered the console users a free Origin game as compensation for their frustration and time. Gamers are admittedly confused by the sudden move, since EA is neither responsible for the Playstation Store, or are they at fault for the store’s extended downtime. Still, it’s rude to look a gift horse in the mouth, and EA is offering players a free copy of Battleforge, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Need For Speed World, and Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes.
We will hopefully have a comment from Sony on the matter once they stop screening our calls.
Raptr is a gaming service similar to Xfire, that tracks time played, achievements, and occasionally offers some great reward coupons including in-game items and coupons for peripherals and other game items. To obtain the rewards, players simply have to reach certain levels of play on a set list of games.
Last week, I mentioned that Raptr was giving away 10,000 copies of Rift as well as digital upgrades to the collector’s edition and other items. Raptr would like to remind everyone this week that a current coupon is ending soon and to get on board before it does.
If you haven’t yet picked up TERA, you can do so with a 50% coupon for the standard or collector’s edition with Raptr. To qualify, you simply need to obtain “Amateur” rating on one of the following games with the Raptr desktop client:
The offer is only for players in Canada and the US. The codes will only be available until June 21st, after which any claimed code must be used before June 30th. Head over to Raptr.com to get more information:
